If you are in the habit of watching every movie which comes in the the nearby theatre (or you have the access to some very rich library like ours in the university) , then you must be finding it very difficult to remember that you have watched a particular movie or not. Same thing also happens with me. This time it was about American beauty.
Nevertheless I decided to watch the movie and after the end of movie it was not very hard to figure out why it was awarded the Oscar. Even if you are not an American, you will be more than happy to see the true beauty of American lives. This movie shows all the grey aspect of the life.
And the one good line among so many goes like....
It was one of those days when it's a minute away from snowing and there's this electricity in the air, you can almost hear it. And this bag was, like, dancing with me. Like a little kid begging me to play with it. For fifteen minutes. And that's the day I knew there was this entire life behind things, and... this incredibly benevolent force, that wanted me to know there was no reason to be afraid, ever. Video's a poor excuse, I know. But it helps me remember... and I need to remember... Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world I feel like I can't take it, like my heart's going to cave in.
This line says so many things, contains so many emotions inside. I felt good during that scene. Also another good thing in the movie was the depiction of some deep rooted american psychology. For example the perception of success, somebody says in the movie..if you want to succeed, you always have to seem successful. Now it's debatable, but good to hear.
In our bollywood also they make good movies like this and Page 3 is a very good example for that. Don't try to extract some message out of these texts, just go and enjoy the movie.
Use a different font color for the quote. Its hardly visible.
